The Marcellus Varsity football team won their home opener 49-8 over the Bangor Vikings.  The Wildcats put the game away early leading 22-0 at the end of the 1^st quarter and 36-8 at the half.  The offensive and defensive line dominated the line of scrimmage led by Branden Clark,  Steven Jibson, Eli Robinson, Tyler Lawless, Gabe Tone, Jake Tone, and Tyler High.

Offensively the Wildcats had many explosive plays as they rushed for 480 yards and passed for 35.  Offensive leaders were Derek Flory who rushed for 276 yds on 19 carries for 6 TD’s and a 2 point conversion.  Mark Butz rushed for 78 yds on 12 carries.  He also had 1 reception for 17 yards.  Thomas Colley had 10 carries for 63 yds and two 2 point conversions and 1 reception for 4 yds.  Manny Bailey rushed for 55 yards on 5 carries and a TD. 

  Defensively the Wildcats held Bangor to 59 yards rushing.  Defensive leaders were Branden Clark and Thomas Colley with 7 tackles each, Eli Robinson had 5 tackles and an interception, Steven Jibson and Gabe Tone each had 4 tackles and a sack.
